My reflections

My trajectory made me a more determined and courageous person. From an early age, my parents guided me to education as a means to financial growth. But as a student, I realized that education is far beyond financial emancipation, it is the means to political emancipation and a means of social transformation. This is something I learned from Freire and I believe it is something my students learn from me. Speaking of my students, they are my main learning experience today, because with them I learn daily the meaning of resilience and humility.

Dear Ana Luísa,

I agree with you on learning to see education as emancipation not only economically, but as a tool and an object of growing awareness as citizens and I also hope to be supporting my students in the pursuit of further development.

Responding to your reflection: Could you share some ways in which your students teach you?

Best,
Viviane

Very nice right Viviane?
Nowadays as an adult and a mother of 2 boys I value my financial emancipation so much and I am very grateful for it, it is what allows me to give my kids good quality of life and education.

This is a beautiful path to grow as a human being and a teacher!
